Kid Nation

Perspective was used throughout the kid nation video. Perspective is a particular individual's point of view, which is effected by experiences. For example one of the fourteen year old girls took charge of the cooking since she has more experience than a bunch of 10 year olds. That way more food can be cooked the right way and will actually taste good.

Another act that was used was social structure. Social structure is the patterned interactions of the people in social relationships. The runner of the show put a 10, 11, 12, and another 11 year old in charge of all the kids at the camp. There are a couple teenagers and the teenagers wont listen and take orders from kids younger than them. For example one of the 11 year olds yelled at the 15 year old to do something and got in his face, this caused the teenager to push the kid. This causes a struggle in being in charge and making the 'city' work together.

Lastly power was a big role in the kids' lives. Power is the ability to control others. The runner of the show chose 4 kids to be in charge or power of the camp. They had the power of giving a gold star that was worth a lot of money to a kid who was working hard. For example one of the fourteen year olds took over cooking, cleaning, and a lot of other things around the camp. So the council chose
